General & Travel Investigations Limited (GTI) has been appointed by Southern Cross Travel Insurance (SCTI), in relation to your recent claim.
GTI has been appointed by SCTI as its claims investigator to conduct inquiries relevant to the assessment of your claim.
SCTI has provided GTI with relevant information about your claim, and GTI will collect information from you and other sources as part of this investigation and provide that information to SCTI for the purposes of assessing your claim.
This may include collecting, using, and sharing personal information relevant to your claim between you, GTI, SCTI, and relevant third parties (such as service providers or authorities), where reasonably necessary to assess your claim.
Interview Consent
As part of this process, we may need to discuss the circumstances of the loss and any property or expenses being claimed, so that we can provide the insurer with the information required to make a full and informed decision on the claim.
Where required, this will involve a formal recorded interview. GTI’s preferred interview formats are a digitally recorded video interview, or an in-person interview recorded using a digital recorder. The interview will be conducted in an objective, honest, efficient, transparent, and fair manner at all times.
You are welcome to have an independent personal or legal support person present during the interview.
If you are not comfortable proceeding in English, an interpreter can be arranged for you at no cost.
Interviews generally take between 30 and 90 minutes, depending on the complexity of the matter. You will be offered a 5-minute break every 30 minutes, and a single interview sitting will not exceed 90 minutes.
Please also have available any relevant supporting documentation you hold, including receipts, police correspondence, emails, booking information, photographs, or any other material you consider relevant to the claim.
